10th annual Chicago Salute to Greatness set for July 8-9

First Tee, Habitat for Humanity to benefit as Hall of Famers participate in outing at the Glen Club as part of Salute to Greatness Golf Tour presented by James Hardie
The 10th annual Chicago Salute to Greatness will take place on July 9, 2024, as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Salute to Greatness Golf Tour presented by James Hardie.
Held at the prestigious The Glen Club in Glenview, Ill., the two-day event will begin with a cocktail reception and dinner providing all in attendance — golfers, corporate partners and invited guests — the opportunity to engage with the Hall of Famers in attendance.
An evening program will include a Fireside Chat with former legendary Chicago Bears players Jimbo Covert, Richard Dent and Dan Hampton, alongside popular Chicago broadcaster Pat Boyle, from NBC Sports Chicago.
The current lineup of Pro Football Hall of Famers who will play the 10th annual Chicago Salute to Greatness includes:
- MORTEN ANDERSEN — 1982-1994 New Orleans Saints, 1995-2000, 2006-07 Atlanta Falcons, 2001 New York Giants, 2002-03 Kansas City Chiefs, 2004 Minnesota Vikings
- ISAAC BRUCE — 1994-2007 Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, 2008-09 San Francisco 49ers
- JIMBO COVERT — 1983-1990 Chicago Bears
- RICHARD DENT — 1983-1993, 1995 Chicago Bears, 1994 San Francisco 49ers, 1996 Indianapolis Colts, 1997 Philadelphia Eagles
- MARSHALL FAULK — 1994-98 Indianapolis Colts, 1999-2005 St. Louis Rams

Co-chairs of the Chicago Salute to Greatness are Rob Zmudka, senior vice president & chief commercial officer at GATX Corp, and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Board of Directors; and Mary Owen, general partner, Forma Capital, and a member of the Hall of Fame’s Advisory Board.
Proceeds from the event will support First Tee and Habitat for Humanity.
Following Chicago, two more golf outings are planned in 2024 as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Salute to Greatness Golf Tour presented by James Hardie. The cities, event dates and host courses are Canton (Sept. 16 at Firestone Country Club in Akron) and Las Vegas (Sept. 30 at TPC Summerlin).
