Celebration of ‘Run With It’ Super Bowl LVII commercial includes Flores’ jersey, costumes worn by NFL players, ball signed by sports pioneer Billie Jean King
The NFL announced today that as part of a commemoration of “Run With It,” the league’s Emmy-award winning spot for Super Bowl LVII, Flag football star Diana Flores has become the first Flag football player with artifacts in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The jersey Flores wore in the commercial and her football signed by sports icon Billie Jean King and the New York Jets’ Sauce Gardner, who were also in the spot, are officially part of the museum’s collection, marking a historic moment for the sport of Flag football.
“I’m honored to have my jersey become a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame collection, alongside NFL Legends and football stars I greatly admire,” Flores said. “This is so meaningful not just for me personally, but also for Flag football overall. It’s hugely symbolic in showing football is for everyone, especially Latina women and girls.”
Flores is the Mexico Women's National Flag Football team quarterback, The World Games 2022 champion, chair of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Athletes’ Committee and most recent AFC offensive coordinator at the Pro Bowl Games alongside AFC head coach PEYTON MANNING. She starred in “Run With It,” the NFL’s blockbuster campaign for Super Bowl LVII, which spotlighted Flag football and some incredible moves by trailblazing women in the sport. For the first time, the league rooted its Super Bowl spot in Flag football, with Flores at the forefront.
“ ‘Run With It’ was a historic moment for the NFL, as we took our biggest platform of the year to feature not just Flag football, but specifically how women are changing the game and inspiring generations of athletes to come,” said Marissa Solis, NFL SVP of global brand and consumer marketing. “Flag football is one of the league’s most important long-term strategies, and to have Diana’s artifacts officially become a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame is tangible recognition that Flag football is here to stay and will only continue to grow. She may be the first Flag player to become part of the museum’s collection, but she certainly won’t be the last!”
Several prominent celebrities, along with NFL players, co-star in the spot with Flores, such as King, Cam Heyward (Pittsburgh Steelers), Jalen Ramsey (Miami Dolphins), Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders), Aidan Hutchinson (Detroit Lions) and Gardner (New York Jets). The list of artifacts featured in the “Run With It” exhibit at the Pro Football Hall of Fame includes:
- Diana Flores’ jersey
- Flores’ football signed by Billy Jean King, whose appearance was Flores’ “favorite scene” in the commercial, and Sauce Gardner
- Jalen Ramsey’s security officer costume
- Aidan Hutchinson’s bellhop costume
- Davante Adams’ parrot costume
Flores appeared on “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network today to discuss her visit to Canton. Joining her at the public unveiling in the museum were members of the Maple Heights High School girls Flag team. The Mustangs compete against other teams in Northeast Ohio.
